Brad Cheney has nearly twenty years of experience in Washington, with a strong track record of representing clients in the Halls of Congress and in the administration. 

Brad is a partner at Majority Group, where he represents clients on financial services, foreign affairs, housing, tax and real estate finance issues.   Brad Cheney joined Majority Group after working as a lobbyist at the Eris Group, which was acquired by GrayRobinson in 2019.  Brad joined the Eris Group in 2018 after serving as the Senior Democratic Lobbyist at the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) for over eight years. During his time at MBA, Brad worked on numerous legislation critical to the nation’s single-family, multi-family and commercial real estate markets, including Dodd-Frank, transitional licensing for loan originators, reauthorization of the increased conforming loan limits for FHA loans, reauthorization of the National Flood Insurance Program and reauthorization of the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act.

Brad previously served as Chief of Staff to Congressman Brad Sherman (D-CA), the Chairman of the Investor Protection, Entrepreneurship and Capital Markets Subcommittee of the House Financial Services Committee and a senior member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee. As Chief of Staff, Brad served as a senior policy advisor to Congressman Sherman, overseeing operations in both the Washington and Los Angeles offices, traveled internationally representing Congressman Sherman, and worked closely with the House Leadership, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and the K Street community.

Before joining Congressman Sherman’s office, Brad worked on Hillary Clinton’s 2008 Presidential campaign, serving as Deputy State Director in Vermont and Virginia. From 2006-2008, Brad was a Senior Government Affairs Associate at a leading public affairs and government relations firm in Washington.  At the Glover Park Group, Brad successfully represented a number of foreign countries before the House and Senate, as well as the Bush Administration.  From 2003 to 2006, Brad served as the Special Assistant to the Chief of Staff in the Washington office of then-Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.
