DANIEL ARCHER
Dan Archer has over two decades of political and government relations experience in Washington, DC and serves as a partner at Majority Group. He has counseled business leaders and elected officials on the complexities of the legislative process and advocated for business interests before the House, Senate, and Administration. Dan’s experience includes six years on Capitol Hill and more than 15 years in corporate government relations at Wells Fargo.
During his corporate career, he managed financial services policy issues within consumer banking, capital markets, and housing finance for one of the nation’s largest financial institutions. He represented the bank on Capitol Hill through several challenging periods, including the financial crisis and its aftermath, and through a significant reputational company crisis.
On Capitol Hill, Dan was Legislative Director for US Senator Chuck Hagel (R-NE), also serving as the Senator’s designee to the Senate Banking Committee and as a Task Force Investigator on the Senate Budget Committee. Dan managed a legislative team and was involved with major legislation to address the response to 9/11, the economy, and housing finance reform. Dan also worked in the House of Representatives, serving as a senior advisor to Nebraska Congressman Lee Terry (R-NE).
Dan is a veteran of several political campaigns for elected office in his hometown of Omaha and worked as a commercial credit analyst at a regional bank for a period of time.
